We understand that attending an event of this size can be a concern due to the ongoing pandemic. We at the Viennese Ball Steering Committee are dedicated to the safety of all attendees, and therefore, we will have strict COVID-19 safety policies in place.
- When purchasing a ticket, all attendees must provide proof of up-to-date vaccination, meaning the primary series of vaccinations against COVID-19 plus the COVID-19 booster (as defined by the CDC), if eligible within one week of the event. Please see our FAQ if you wish to test out of this requirement.
- All performers must provide proof of a negative test for COVID-19 in the week of the event, in addition to vaccination requirements. This is required for performance teams that wish to access the performer break room and performer dressing room. Any team not wishing to access these rooms is not required to submit tests.
- All attendees and performers must wear valveless face masks over the mouth and nose for the duration of the event. Masks that provide equivalent protection to a well-sealed KN-95 mask (e.g. a KF-94, N95, or p100) are recommended instead of surgical/cloth masks.
Our policies align with the policies of Stanford University, Santa Clara Convention Center, and our capacity as a group of student volunteers. Please view our FAQ if you have any additional questions about these policies.
We ask that you do not attend the Ball if you have COVID-19 symptoms, tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days, or had close contact with anyone who has or may have COVID-19. However, please also note that there is a risk of being exposed to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. By choosing to attend the Stanford Viennese Ball, you assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. This statement is based on the Health and Safety guidelines of the Stanford Live event venue.
